option #3
and now there's an option #3:to go teach English to Haitian refugee adults in the Dominican Republic for a year with Makarios. now this one seems quite a bit more practical. i'd definitely get the exposure to and practice using Spanish that i need and want. and teaching adults is a much better path to my destination, as well. i'd even have the opportunity to live with a Haitian/DR family to get maximum exposure to the culture. wow. though i'd have to raise support, the living expenses are minimal. and makarios even supports those who have to use part of their raised support for paying off loans.
three options and little time to make a decision. oh my.
