electricity

there isn't any right now.

the electricity goes out just about every day here. sometimes more than once. usually it's just for a few minutes, but it can last up to several hours. it's usually not really a big deal, though, unless it goes off in the middle of the night (and therefore the fans quit running) or at a time when i need to be making copies (like right now). fortunately, each of these has only happened once in the two months that i've been here.

the power was off when we got home at around noon, and it's 3:00 now. we have no idea when to expect it back. so in the meantime, since i can't make the copies i had planned on making this afternoon, i'm going to go have another driving lesson. pray for jennie - i'm sure she'd appreciate it ;-)

p.s. Dominican Joe opens in downtown Austin TOMORROW, SEPTEMBER 19th. you should go. it's good stuff.
