a wonderful weekend of water

i was reminded this weekend how much i miss living near the beach.

i "found" this cool little place called Bull Creek, right near the dog park in austin. it is conveniently located just a few miles south of my apartment.

some friends and i took advantage of the absolutely BEAUTIFUL weather on saturday and went "hiking" through the creek. unfortunately, we weren't prepared to get quite as wet as we did (which cost us many bruises from slipping on algae and a cell phone). however, it was worth it, and we returned the next day, minus the cell phones and the addition of swimsuites and chacos for traction.

needless to say, i am now very much looking forward to once again living near the beach. i think i was made to live in water and endless sunshine (nevermind the fact i lack the appropriate anatomy to breathe under water...).

and these are the happy thoughts i dwell on as the next 23 school days pass...
