ramblings

i went to the beach today. i like the beach. "there's healing at the beach" as sharla would say. i think i've been to the beach every weekend for, oh, at least a month now, maybe more. playa dordada isn't the nicest beach on the north coast, but for a 20peso round trip fair, it'll do for an afternoon. unfortunately it was very windy today, so no matter how hard i tried to wash off in the ocean, i still came home with a thin layer of dominican sand all over me.

in other news, jennie spent a lot of time online today looking at wedding dresses. she and miguel are hoping for a dominican wedding in january. please keep them in your prayers as they work out the details of getting the pastor, family and friends to this country, as well as working through all the red tape of getting miguel a visa so they can go to the states together.
