i have come to realize...

i have to admit that it was a post on myspace (which i rarely check, but did today as a break from writing my thesis) and that several unnecessary ones have been deleted. otherwise, it's good way to reflect, or just throw out random thoughts. i challenge all bloggers to do the same :)

I have come to realize that when I talk:
sometimes I babble and don't make much sense, but I want someone to listen and help me find the sense in it.

I have come to realize that if I love someone:
I need to tell them, more often than I do.

I have come to realize that I need:
to be still - mentally.

I have come to realize that I lost:
nothing.

I have come to realize that I hate it when:
people tell me what to do when I don't have time to do it, or it's not my responsibility, or I already know I need to do it.

I have come to realize that when I eat:
I think too much about how much it cost and how it could be healthier.

I have come to realize that marriage:
happens in the Lord's time.

I have come to realize that work:
is just work, and though I like it, it's not my life.

I have come to realize that I will always be:
over annalytical and a little bit anal but that's ok.

I have come to realize that I like:
my life very much.

I have come to realize that my cell phone is:
not as fancy as it thinks it is or I wish it to be.

I have come to realize that when I wake up in the morning:
I hate my job, when otherwise I like it.

I have come to realize that before I go to sleep at night:
I need to give myself at least 30 minutes/1 hour to wind down, or else I'll be an insomniac.

I have come to realize that right now I am thinking about:
how I wrote 4 pages of my thesis today, which means I only have 20-30 to go!

I have come to realize that babies:
are precious and I want several (someday, and not all at the same time).

I have come to realize that today:
is the only thing I am guaranteed.

I have come to realize that tonight I will:
spend some quality time with a great friend.

I have come to realize that tommorow i will:
enjoy seeing friends and be challenged at two different churches.

I have come to realize that I really want to:
do the Lord's will, whatever that may be.

I have come to realize that my TRUE friends:
don't try to change me, but do make me be who God made me to be.

I have come to realize that small talk:
is for getting to know someone, but should be quickly bypassed, because it's the deep conversations that really matter.

I have come to realize that relationships:
are more important than productivity.

I have come to realize that life:
is more about being than doing.

And I have come to realize that:
that this is the end of what I have come to realize, for now :)

following lippy's lead...a few days behind

Following lippy's lead, here are my career results...

People with yellow Interests like job responsibilities that include organizing and systematizing, and professions that are detail-oriented, predictable, and objective. People with yellow Interests enjoy activities that include: ordering, numbering, scheduling, systematizing, preserving, maintaining, measuring, specifying details, and archiving, which often lead to work in research, banking, accounting, systems analysis, tax law, finance, government work, and engineering.

People with blue styles prefer to perform their job responsibilities in a manner that is supportive and helpful to others with a minimum of confrontation. They prefer to work where they have time to think things through before acting. People with blue style tend to be insightful, reflective, selectively sociable, creative, thoughtful, emotional, imaginative, and sensitive. Usually they thrive in a cutting edge, informally paced, future-oriented environment. You will want to choose a work environment or career path in which your style is welcomed and produces results.

psalm 37

3 - Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
4 - Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 - Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.
7 - Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him.
23 - The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way.
25 - I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his
children begging for bread. He is ever ever lending generously, and his children become
a blessing.
30 - The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.
21 - The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.
39 - The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; he is their stronghold in the times of
trouble.
40 - The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves
them, because they take refuge in him.

but it is about the fellowship of the community

so i didn't mean for my last post to imply i don't want to spend time with you anymore (you being those in my community). in fact, i really do want to spend time with all of you who are in my community. it's important that i do, because i cannot do life alone.

i too easily allow myself to become overwhelmed with the many things that i have to do. lately that has been one big thing - my thesis. it seems to overshadow everything else at times and then i can't even focus when i sit down to work. but the key is balance. a sense of anxiety does not mean to focus on that one thing and neglect everything else. it means to work hard at it that one thing, and then balance that time with other forms of refreshment. the refreshment i need (but had given up), is time with my community.

so i will do this no more. i am returning to bible study tonight and am excited to see everyone and to learn from you. please make sure i am spending time on my thesis. but don't let me give up the community for it. i can do both - but only with your help. and you can't help me if i don't spend time with you.
